Description
This was a book I made literally out of one piece of paper (8.5'' x 11''). I designed and made the book in Adobe InDesign. This was one of the first bookmaking projects I had to do for my book, box and portfolio class. It spoke from the point of view of the mona lisa herself sitting on the louvre wall. My concept for this was to make it so you didnt fully get who or what the book was about till you got closer and closer to the end. Each page is a part of the mona lisa painting, cropped. Eh...it was fairly successful i think...
"I sit here all day,
and here I will always stay.
My dear master left me so long ago.
He gave me live, then he had to go.
He passed on into the stars and here, left me.
He soared to the heavens and gifted to the world his legacy...
...Me...
Now we live in infamy.
Against this wall I stare,
at every living thing who dare.
Come lay your eyes upon me,
and do what everyone else has done.
Make your judgement of my existance,
and flash me with a thousand suns!
I'll still sit here all day,
watching...
and
smiling...
And my smile alone is a mystery....
I am Da Vinci's Legacy."

Heh! What a cool idea! I think it came out really well! You incorporated the text very nicely. You wrote the poem yourself, too? Quite impressive...!
